Planka Oslo

Planka Oslo was formed in the beginning of 2010. As our sisterorganization planka.nu in Sweden we are working for a taxfunded, ticket-free public transportation. Initially we were inspired by our Swedish friends’ approach to climate activism and the call for concrete environmental sound changes at home. Today, using the public transportation sector as a starting point, we have broaden our perspective to include discussions around privatization and urban-planning in Oslo, as well as the environmental concern.
Our main course of action is “P-kassa” – a collective fund for public transport freeriders to cover the penalty fare. The monthly fee to ”P-kassa” is 30€, compared to the official fee of 70€ and the penalty fare of 95€.
